We all know content is supposed to be king, right?
But man, it’s getting harder and harder to actually rule that kingdom.
Lots of businesses are putting out content, maybe even using AI tools for video.
But most companies are honestly terrible at it.
And I get it!
I’ve been there myself… you’re trying to juggle like five different tools, jumping between platforms, trying to keep track of all these different processes, and meanwhile you’re supposed to be cranking out amazing content day after day.
It can be overwhelming, especially when you’re trying to maintain high standards.
Fortunately, there is a solution.
By combining a custom GPT built for my needs with tools like Riverside FM, I’ve managed to streamline an AI video workflow that saves literally hours on each project. All while still maintaining the high standards needed for our brands. I’ll show you how. But first…
What Makes Content “Good”, Anyway?
Depends on who you ask, but as far as Google is concerned, it’s all about “E-E-A-T”. It stands for Experience, Expertise, Authority, and Trustworthiness.
This is an SEO concept, but it’s just as applicable for making videos. Let me break this down real quick, cause it’s actually super important.
Experience
This is about whether you’re actually walking the walk. If you’re writing about PPC campaigns, have you actually run them yourself? Can you share real results? Cause let me tell you, people can smell it a mile away when you’re just parroting what you heard someone else say.
Expertise
This is where a lot of people get tripped up. Expertise is not just about knowing your stuff, but being able to demonstrate that you know. Do you have the credentials or real-world experience to back up what you’re saying?
Authority
This is interesting, because it’s about whether other people in your industry are actually pointing to you as someone who knows what you’re talking about. It’s not just about calling yourself an expert – other trusted sources need to be backing you up.
Trustworthiness
This is huge. Are you backing up your claims with real data? Being transparent about why you’re saying what you’re saying?
Now, here’s the problem, and I see this all the time: people’s content is often just trying to sell, sell, sell.
if you’re just pushing your product all the time, you’re probably failing at all these EEAT principles, and guess what?
Your content’s gonna tank, both in search rankings and with your actual audience engagement.
The secret – and I learned this the hard way – is you have to flip this around.
Start by actually helping people first. Answer their questions. Solve their problems. Give them stuff they can actually use. Do that consistently, and the trust and authority will follow.
It’s not the quick fix everyone wants, but it’s what actually works.
Now that we’re clear on what good content actually is, let me show you how to use AI to efficiently create E-E-A-T-friendly video content.
Step 1: Research and Scriptwriting with My Custom GPT
The hardest part has always been just figuring out what I’m gonna talk about and how to structure it.
That’s where my custom GPT has been a total game-changer for me.
I trained this GPT to really understand the Digital Position brand voice – how we talk, what we care about, who we’re trying to reach.
The cool thing is, once this is set up, I don’t have to explain who I am or what I need every single time I start a new project. Which saves a lot of time.
So now, instead of staring at a blank screen, I can just say, “Write me a script about using AI tools for video” and it gives me a solid first draft that sounds like me, and not like a robot.
Then I just go in and edit it until it feels right. What used to take me half a day now takes maybe 45 minutes, tops.
Step 2: Recording and Editing with Riverside FM
Now, let’s talk about the actual recording and editing part cause this used to be such a pain in my… well, you know.
My old setup was ridiculous – I’d be recording on my camera, doing screen captures, downloading everything to my desktop, then trying to piece it all together in iMovie.
And don’t even get me started on trying to edit out all the times I messed up or those awkward silences.
The worst part? When I needed to record meetings with clients or do interviews, I’d use Zoom, but the quality was just not good enough. Not exactly the professional look we’re going for, especially when we’re putting stuff out on social.
Then I found Riverside FM and man has it been a gamechanger. It does literally everything in one place – streaming, recording, editing, sharing, all of it.
The quality is top, even when you’re recording people from different places. Each person’s feed gets recorded locally in high quality, so you don’t get all that pixelated garbage you see in other platforms.
The coolest thing though, is this built-in teleprompter feature.
I can just paste my script right in there and read it while looking at the camera, but it doesn’t sound like I’m reading – which I’ll admit, took some practice to get right!
Editing is way easier now. I can trim stuff, fix mistakes, add our branding, all right there within Riverside. It even lets you edit using the transcript, which is great. (There are other tools that do this too, but many of them are very glitchy.)
Sharing the final videos is way less of a headache too. Remember sending those huge video files around? Now I just send a link and we’re done. What used to take me literally all day now takes maybe 2-3 hours, max.
Step 3: Social Media Captions with My Custom GPT
Okay, so last piece of the puzzle – getting these videos out on social. This used to be where I’d hit a wall, trying to come up with catchy captions and figuring out hashtags.
But again, my custom GPT to the rescue.
Because it knows our brand voice and what our audience likes, I can just upload the video file directly, and it’ll analyze it and spit out these really engaging captions.
I can just say, “Give me three Instagram captions and some hashtags for this” and it comes back with stuff like this:

So, there you have it. My complete, battle-tested, super-efficient AI workflow for creating videos.

At Digital Position, we’re all about finding that sweet spot where creativity meets actually getting stuff done.
Using AI this way? It’s just us practicing what we preach, staying ahead of the game instead of playing catch-up like everyone else.
